Sony is about to release its VAIO VGN-P50 ultra compact mini notebook in Japan on June 6th, 2009. Using Windows XP as the OS, Sony VAIO VGN-P50 mini notebook has an 8-inch ultra wide LCD screen with a 1.33GHz Intel Atom Z520 processor, a 1GB RAM, a 80GB HDD, and Intel’s US15W chipset. VGN-P50 also features a couple of USB 2.0 slots, IEEE 802.11 b/g/n wireless LAN, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, multi-card reader and four hours of battery life. Measuring 245mm x 120mm x 19.8mm, it only weighs 626grams. Sony VAIO VGN-P50 is priced at around 85,000 Yen ($890).
